This confectioner re-proposes old recipes passed down through the family business by four generations. It was Melchiorre Barbero who in 1883 made the first application to produce "Nougats and Noisettes", with which he won the Gold medal at the 1885 national exhibition in Naples. In the same year he achieved many other awards in other parts of Italy, all kept in the family trophy cabinet bearing witness to the history of the company.Today the company, located in the centre of Asti, retains all the charm of the old artisan enterprise and respect for tradition, but this is now combined with the innovation of modern technology. Production and sales of different types of nougat:brittle, soft, chocolate covered, rum flavoured,"gianduiotti", soft filled chocolates and pralines.Visits welcome by advance booking,with illustrated tour.
